1. Overview
GitTea is a native Git client for macOS. GitTea does not require an account and does not collect personal information through a server operated by the developer. GitTea does not include advertising or cross-app tracking.
2. Local repository access
GitTea accesses only files and folders you explicitly select through the macOS file picker. Repository information, recent repository paths, security-scoped bookmarks, application preferences, and trial status are stored locally on your Mac.
GitTea does not upload repository contents to a server operated by the developer.
3. Git remote operations
When you use operations such as Clone, Fetch, Pull, or Push, GitTea communicates directly with the Git hosting service configured for that repository. Those services process information according to their own privacy policies.
4. Optional AI features
AI features are optional and require you to configure an OpenAI-compatible API endpoint and API key. When you explicitly use an AI feature, relevant staged differences, commit information, or merge-conflict content may be sent directly to the endpoint you configured.
Your API key is stored in the macOS Keychain. GitTea does not send your API key to a server operated by the developer. Your configured AI provider processes submitted information according to its own privacy policy and terms.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
Optional purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions are processed by Apple. GitTea receives only the transaction and entitlement information required to determine whether Pro features are available. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
6. Data retention
Information stored locally remains on your Mac until you remove it through the application, uninstall GitTea, or delete the relevant application data. Information sent to Git hosting services or an AI provider is subject to those services’ retention policies.
7. Children’s privacy
GitTea is not directed toward children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Security
GitTea uses the macOS App Sandbox, security-scoped file access, and the macOS Keychain to help protect local files and credentials. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when GitTea’s features or data-handling practices change. Updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date.

1. 概述

AI 功能为可选功能，需要你自行配置兼容 OpenAI 的 API 地址和 API Key。只有当你主动调用 AI 功能时，相关已暂存差异、提交信息或合并冲突内容才可能被直接发送到你配置的服务地址。
API Key 保存在 macOS 钥匙串中。GitTea 不会将 API Key 发送到开发者运营的服务器。你配置的 AI 服务将依据其自身隐私政策和条款处理提交的信息。
5. 购买与订阅
可选买断项目和自动续期订阅均由 Apple 处理。GitTea 仅接收判断 Pro 功能是否可用所必需的交易与权益信息。详见 Apple 隐私政策。
6. 数据保留
本地信息会保留在你的 Mac 上，直到你在应用中移除相关信息、卸载 GitTea 或删除应用数据。发送至 Git 托管服务或 AI 服务的信息受相应服务的数据保留政策约束。
7. 儿童隐私
GitTea 并非面向儿童设计，也不会有意收集儿童的个人信息。
8. 安全
GitTea 使用 macOS App Sandbox、安全作用域文件访问以及 macOS 钥匙串来帮助保护本地文件和凭据。任何电子存储或传输方式都无法保证绝对安全。
